I was born on a sunny summer day in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in the beautiful city of South Pasadena. At a very young age, it was clear to everyone that I was not like the rest. At the time, nobody knew what to make sense of me, but eventually we all caught on. Growing up gay in a Muslim, Middle Eastern household was no easy feat. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery is one thing; learning to love what you discover in a world that might not feel the same is a whole other beast. These general life struggles aren’t just a “gay” experience. Many of us feel victimized by being born into situations and circumstances we had no control over. Some of us are born into families that don’t have the necessary tools to set us up for success, and others are born into a class system that feels impossible to break out of.
Whatever your personal circumstances may be, you have the power to alter your course and live the dream life you deserve. Flourish and Leisure was created to share the tools that helped me find my joy. Today, I’m absolutely in love with every aspect of my life. My job, my home, my family & friends, my financial freedom, and everything in between. I travel the world for fun, have great relationships with outstanding people, and am the most fully realized and self-expressed version of myself. I’m hungry to share Flourish & Leisure with the world because this initiative, at its core, is here to make people feel their absolute best. When you feel your best, only the best situations and circumstances begin to unfold for you, and when this happens, your life instantly begins to change for the better. Happy people who love their lives only bring greatness to the world around them.
